What this covers. Verticalmove, Inc. ("Verticalmove," "we") sends text messages to job candidates as part of our recruiting work. This page explains what we send, how we got your number, what we do with it, and how to stop.
How you opted in. We only text people we already know, and we only text a number the person gave us themselves. Your number reaches us one of four ways: you emailed or uploaded your resume to us, you gave it to a recruiter during a phone call, you listed it on an application for a role we are working on, or someone referred you and confirmed you agreed to be contacted.
At the point a recruiter takes your number, they tell you: "Is it okay if I text you about this role? This is Matthew at Verticalmove. Message frequency varies, message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out. Reply HELP or email hello@verticalmove.com for support. Our terms and privacy policy are at verticalmove.com/sms."
The first message you receive from us always identifies who is texting, for example "Matthew at Verticalmove," and always ends with "Reply STOP to opt out." We do not buy or rent phone number lists, we do not send marketing blasts, and we never text a number we did not receive directly from you or from the person who referred you.You can also add your number yourself at verticalmove.com/sms-opt-in.
How we get your number. We text only candidates who already have a relationship with us: you applied to a role, sent us your resume, gave your number to one of our recruiters, or were referred to us and agreed to be contacted. We do not buy phone number lists, and we do not text numbers obtained without your knowledge.
What we send. Messages are written and sent individually by the recruiter working with you, about specific job opportunities, scheduling, and interview logistics. Frequency varies with your conversation. We do not send automated marketing blasts.
How to stop. Reply STOP to any message and we will stop texting you immediately and permanently. Reply START to opt back in. Reply HELP for help, or email hello@verticalmove.com.
Costs. Message and data rates may apply depending on your mobile plan. Verticalmove does not charge for these messages.
What we do with your number. We store your number in our applicant tracking system to contact you about opportunities. We do not sell your phone number, and we do not share your mobile opt-in information or SMS consent with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing. We share it only with the service providers that deliver our messages, and only for that purpose.
Carriers. Wireless carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
