Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer for our clients Ad Selection/Serving group. This key individual will have a solid understanding and proven experience in developing large-scale, highly available and distributed web systems. Presently together with their strong Java and web technologies knowledge our team is developing high-volume, real-time web systems for ad selection and serving.

Job Responsibilities

- You will develop and maintain components in a high-volume real-time web system for ad selection and serving.
- You will be tasked to deliver high quality product releases in rapid 1-2 week development cycles.
- Collaborate closely with business/product team to ensure development tasks are always in line with feature requirements.
- You will work with other engineering teams (including QA and technical operations) to define and understand interfaces and dependencies.
- You will develop, document and communicate technical designs and approaches.

Job Experience

- Experience in integrating with major commercial or open source ad server products (such as DoubleClick, OpenX, and Zedo) is highly desirable.

Required Experience

- 5+ years of experience in developing large-scale, highly available and distributed web systems, among which 3+ years of experience involving technical design of those systems.
- Solid working knowledge of algorithms, data structures, performance optimization techniques, and object oriented design patterns.
- Some experience with display and/or search advertising experience.
- Linux and shell scripts experience
- Experience with Java and related open source technologies
- Caching technologies such as memcached
- Web technologies, Tomcat, HTTP, JavaScript, Ajax
- Web service architectures using SOAP, REST
- Experience writing and optimizing complex SQL queries

Required Education

BS in Computer Science or related field is required
